Research Design Build

Tarzan is an app that incorporates real-time location data with day-to-day calendar scheduling. It was featured in The New York Times' Wheels blog.

We initially prototyped Tarzan at the Cleanweb Hackathon under considerable constraints: the event provided us 36 hours to design, build, and demonstrate the tool. I conducted the initial UX design and and built about half of the prototype in Python.

When a few of our team members decided to continue the project, I taught myself Ruby on Rails to build a full prototype of our subsequent product design, a calendar-based transit tool.

Tools: Python, Axure, Heroku, Ruby on Rails
